3D-measurement

Three-dimensional measurements of geometric elements, such as planes, cylinders, cones, holes and their relative positions, distances and angles, can be carried out quickly, especially for single parts.

3D shape measurements can be compared directly against accurate 3D CAD geometry, making it possible to identify surface deviations between the manufactured component and the design model.

In our 3D measurement service, we use the Faro Cage arm measuring device, allowing us to obtain exact dimensions quickly and reliably. Measurement data can also be used to create an accurate 3D model of the part.

What is 3D measurement?

3D measurement is a modern way to measure, visualize and scan a desired part. It is widely used across industries, including aerospace and automotive manufacturing and quality assurance.

With 3D measurement, exact dimensions can be verified and used as the basis for producing future precision components, for example with 5-axis machining.
